Michael Sheridan Intermodality and awe rises as the ‘alian three castes hope over the oiled shack of a past, colonial Australia. It’s the only thing that matters as what follows is a set of excellently produced revolutionary songs crafted by the writer of ‘Political Prisoners’. Well done !..!_

The time is coming we must leave tonight, These city lights are fading out of sight. There won’t be peace until this battle’s won We’ll keep on burning for our sacred sun The day we met you we could feel your fire You spoke of all the things your dreams inspired Well now it’s time to pass these lessons on And help our people so they’re marching strong Your speeches like fine melodies, as sweet as falling rain We’re gonna smash our pain into a million pieces And we’ll sing our song again. I know things feel wild right now but These are how dreams are made. Alarms are ringing, we can’t trust this town Supply chain broken from the underground With food and water maybe last a week For surely this our final losing streak And I thought I’d tell you something I know We can trust him when he’s alone I know there’ll be finer hours soon And we’re gonna make it home I know things look wild right now but These are how dreams are made Now people don’t you turn away Oh, people don’t you turn away All you people don’t you turn away Turn away from us Ah people don’t you turn away I pray the people they don’t turn away I pray the people they don’t turn away I pray the people they don’t turn away from us I pray the people they don’t turn away I pray the people they don’t turn away from me from me, from me, ahh from me [Round] I pray the people they don’t turn away [crossed] I know things look wild right now but These are how dreams are made These is how dreams are made [Etc.] So don’t you turn away from me.

We’s got to catch the morning train Don’t wanna do it once again The scolding field of falling rain As if there’s something left to tame Deep in our hearts we know we’re sane We wanna be there part of this team I’m feeling like we brought it on Well always be there my friend Till we got them penned in Gotta make it to the end Well I might as well a calmer mind can tell It’s time to switch my face I got a can of mace I’ll never run again Look all the crap the cat’s dragged in Ride on my crazy friends We’ll make it to the end, No working for the man until we lose all our friends, Then we do it again I know a nicer ender Their words of sweet surrender Until the last defender There’s no return to sender With all your people wasting time I got the best life for this world Ride on my crazy friends Incoming to the end Until we do it again No working for man We’ll hold it hand in hand Boom-cha Boom-cha I say Boom-cha I say Boom-cha etc. I’m on a morning train I come and do it again I gotta keep my sane I’m sticking to my lane Ride on my crazy friends Incoming ‘till the end No working for the man Until we do it again ‘till we do it again ‘till we do it again, gain, gain, gain Incoming Incoming Incoming Incoming (etc.)

Sweet foreign angel, come eat at our table Bring all your fables, and sing all your songs I know you feel that there’s no safe harbour And you’ve no words that help describe this pain But I see your strength despite this trouble and trauma Soon you’ll be feeling out your way again And I know, here you won’t be left alone And I know, you’ll soon find a place that you’ll call home Sweet foreign angel, come eat at our table Willing and able, to help bring you home And I know, you’ll soon forget about the Firezone Firezone, Firezone They call this Post Traumatic Stress Disorder There’s nothing wrong with sometimes reaching out That strength in your heart it helped you cross this border We’ll help you dance until you shake these demons out And I know, you’ll soon no longer feel lost at sea And I know, you’ll soon be healing like a melody Sweet foreign angel, come eat at our table Bring all your fables, and sing all your songs And I know, you’ll soon be boring as a housing loan You’ll soon forget about Firezone Yeah you’ll forget about Firezone Warm rain with rainbows, meadows where hay grows, Sweet foreign angel, come eat at our table Yeah I know, you’ll soon forget about the Firezone Drop all your fear upon the grinding stone Yeah you’ll forget about the Firezone Yeah you’ll forget about the Firezone You’ll no longer feel lost at sea You’ll be healing like a melody Like a Melody Healing like a melody Like a Melody Healing like a melody You’ll be healing like a melody You’ll be healing like a melody (etc.) Sweet foreign angel, come eat at our table Bring all your fables, and sing all your songs

Here it comes now No compromise With a slideshow in my hands it’s turned into a primary occupation All the colours drop like ancient lands dissolving once again My mind redacts these washed out words All thinkers crushed by sound bite conversation One simple flash of flawless flow then silence once again No compromise No compromise Wired and warm which helps me work nothing left to hide Then the emptiness is quite berserk and it takes you for a ride All the places that you formerly mourned It grabs you by the throat Growing weary of these diamond lies Now I seek this antidote Here it comes now No compromise No compromise No compromise No compromise Here it comes now No compromise (etc.)

Pretty Face 03:44

about

It’s been an interesting 12 months. Started out with months of threatening bushfires and stifling smoke in the Blue Mountains. Then, a big move home to Melbourne, just in time for COVID. Ideas for this solo project started to emerge from January, but the full (necessary) Melbourne lockdown provided some extra creative time to really get stuck in. Who even needs live music and a social life? Okay I do. A lot. Can’t wait to take this on the road whenever the venues are back.

Climate change, Murdoch, growing inequality, Trump. Plenty to sing about, lots of inspiration. The result is what feels like the most complete album I have ever released. I still enjoy albums. It's wonderful to block out some quality time to sit down and listen to the entire picture. I hope you enjoy.

about

Dubrow Reservoir, Australia

I was the singer / songwriter with iNsuRge, Soulscraper, & Blackbreaks, and this is my solo project: Dubrow.

I like layering beats, synths, noise and distortion, with some real instruments

The music is also political, because all good music is. We either sing for the revolution, or sing for all the things to stay the same
